Thankful

For so much. So, so much. The blessings in my life so outweigh any negative, major OR minor.

 I think the number one thing I am thankful for is drugs. I'm talking those little 5mg hydrocortisone tablets, 25mg DHEA pills, tiny halves of fludrocortisone, and the synthroid that I'm slowly getting weaned off of (wean-hate that word. Searched for another and came up blank). My drugs are awesome and amazing and I am so thankful for medical insurance and for parents that are willing to shell out cash to prolong and maintain my fulfilling life.

 I'm thankful for a heart that's sometimes too sensitive, but one that is often attuned to the feelings of others.

 I'm thankful for legs that are learning the nuances of running all over again.

 I'm thankful for people that enrich my existence everyday.

 I'm thankful for family that knows the value of laughter

 I'm thankful to work with dedicated and motivated students.

 And I'm extra thankful for the sucker that bought my Bedlam student football ticket for seventy dollars. They are now selling for $35.

 Count my blessings? A Very Lucky Girl can't count that high.

judge away. Circa 11th grade Consider this an intervention. Trust me, I've had my fair share of selfies. But then I graduated high school. high school shopping swag These are some hard and fast rules of those pesky self-absorbed images: 1. Try to have another person in it. I have zero judgement for the visible arm holding out the photography device if there are two faces in the frame. Sometimes you just don't have a third person to take that perfect picture. We forgive you. 2. If a partner is unavailable then at least use a webcam and NOT a mirror. Myspace-esque photography ended at the same time as That's So Raven. And no one cares to see your current brand of toothpaste reclining on your bathroom counter.  3. Keep ALL clothes ON.  I cringe when I see those horrifyingly low slung shorts as people boast in their gym time. A Penny for Your Sin

I heard an analogy recently about sin that I wanted to share as a caution against judging others. I searched online for someone who could put it more eloquently than I, but my google search came up empty.  Imagine that every time you did something wrong, a penny was stacked against you. You lied, you cheated, you drank in excess. Those are pennies stacked against you. Then someone you know committed a more "grievous" sin, according to what some in the world may think. They partook in adultery or gave in to a harmful addiction. In our human minds, those sins deserve higher stacks of pennies. But in God's eyes, He looks down and just sees the fact you both have pennies stacked against you. He doesn't see the height of the stack the world sees. He only sees the one coin on top indicating your imperfection and need for redemeption that you share with the person who sinned "more."  Sin is not measured in degrees "None is righteous, no, not one.&qu

Bachelor Recap Week 2: Did You Hear it's Hannah B's Birthday?

In case you missed the premiere, you can catch up here . In brief, Colton sent home 6 women -- most notably a sloth. The season already tried (and failed) to be experimental with week one where they bounced between various watch parties hosted by franchise alum. In the same vein, they’ve provided Colton with his own personal GoPro so he can take shirtless videos from the comfort of his bed. It’s just as weird as it sounds. This week, we join the remaining smitten women in the infamous sunken living room where Chris Harrison drops off the first date card and then heads back to his trailer to catch up on his Tinder matches. FUN FACT: the Bachelor mansion is inhabited by a real family 10 months out of the year. When filming starts, it is emptied of all of the personal belongings and key rooms are re-painted in ONE SINGLE DAY.
